Between Pie Town & Grants, NM
Greetings from a trailhead on hwy 117!
Sorry for the delay, Pie Town had no cell service. The flooding last year caused massive debris pileups but the canyon was spectacular. A few days later we were on the divide
at about 9000ft. when we got caught in a little snow/ice mix. Today we did some roadwalking but also The Narrows Rim Trail. Beautiful! Nights are cold. We have increased elevation gradually since the beginning. In a few days we'll climb Mt. Taylor. New Mexico gets better and better!
Cheers
